Three-Footed Oak Burl Bowl
This bowl has three carved feet on its base, ensuring it never wobbles on any surface. It is finished with boiled linseed oil. Burl wood is very valuable because of its rarity and intricate, wild grain patterns. Burl is caused by an infection on a tree that instigates rapid proliferation of the wood cells in a certain area — essentially a tumor on a tree. I intend for this bowl to be used mainly as decoration, considering the bark inclusions.
