My Process
The first step that I take when making anything, is sourcing my material; most of the wood I turn I aquire from sawmills and local trees that have been cut down. Following the aquisition of materials, I process the wood, using both a chainsaw and bandsaw, into a block of wood, which I then dry, that is suitable to be placed on my lathe. After turning the wood and carving with gouges and chisels, I sand the wood and finish with either tung or linseed oil.
